This year, the 67th Annual Grammy Awards will serve a different purpose due to the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.

The city is still in the recovery process after the devastation caused by the fires, which have claimed at least 29 lives and destroyed thousands of homes. To date, the wildfires have ravaged over 14,000 structures and displaced tens of thousands of residents.

`In response, the Recording Academy has restructured its award show to benefit wildfire victims. Since the fires began, the Grammys and its affiliated charity, MusiCares, have provided $2 million in emergency aid and pledged more than $4 million to support individuals in the music industry affected by the disasters. The Grammys this Sunday will aim to further increase these donations.

Although the 2025 Grammy Awards are set to proceed as planned, several music labels have canceled their associated events in the days leading up to the ceremony. Typically, the Recording Academy and various record labels host numerous events during Grammy week. However, several institutions, including Universal Music Group, Sony, Spotify, BMG, and Warner Music Group, have chosen to redirect their efforts to assist those impacted by the wildfires.
In light of the damage caused by the Los Angeles wildfires, the award ceremony will focus on raising funds for wildfire relief. Throughout the Grammy Awards, live television broadcasts incorporated a barcode for viewers to make donations towards wildfire recovery efforts.
Additionally, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars will honor Los Angeles and victims of the recent wildfires during the 2025 Grammy Awards.
